Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology, is another milestone in the growth of the Kovai Medical Center Research and Education Trust, Coimbatore. The institution is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Affiliated to Anna University Chennai, and ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. The Institution is well equipped with advanced infrastructural facilities to meet the requirements prescribed by the AICTE, New Delhi and Anna University Chennai.
The Institution aims to develop and implement a comprehensive Human Resource plan, to include recruitment, professional development, retention and succession plans that attract qualified faculties and staffs to ensure that they remain current in their respective roles and discipline.
About the Department:
The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department was one of the first few disciplines that was started at the time of the inception of the Institution of the year 2007. We strive to produce Electrical Engineers who can participate in technical advancement, enable social upliftment of the country and to meet growing global challenges. At present the department is equipped with the qualified and experienced faculty members having a broad spectrum of specialization. The department consists of eleven laboratories with state of the art facilities. The department has the NI’s Lab VIEW Centre to cater the needs of students community. The department offers an undergraduate course BE Electrical & Electronics Engineering and a PG Programme ME Power Electronics and Drives. The major strength of the department is the well placed alumni’s.
About the Conference:
The International Conference on Green Computing, Communication and Electrical Energy (ICGCCEE’14) aims to bring researchers, scientists, engineers and scholar students together to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and the research outcome of all possible aspects of Green Computing, Communication, Conservation of Energy, Renewable energy sources and to discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions. Green computing or green IT, refers to environmentally sustainable computing or IT. As computing becomes increasingly pervasive, the energy consumption attributable to computing is increasing despite the clarion call to action to reduce consumption and reverse greenhouse effect. Research continues into key areas such as making the use of computers as energy-efficient as possible, designing algorithms and systems for efficiency related computer technologies.
The mobile industry is seen as a potential enabler to reduce greenhouse gases. To meet the requirement of low-carbon economy development, it is necessary to reduce the operation expenditure or energy consumption of mobile networks, while maintaining acceptable quality of service. The conference aims to establish a forum to bring together research professionals from diverse fields including green mobile networks, system architectures, networking & communication protocols, applications, tested and prototype, traffic balance and energy efficient, Co-operation transmission system and application issues. Replacing the classical energy with alternative green energy, such as bioenergy, solar energy and promoting the use of clean energy, and that way, pollution emissions to the air will be reduced. Biofuel derived from plant materials is among the most rapidly growing renewable energy technologies. Photovoltaic technology makes use of the energy in the sun, and it has little impact on the environment. Photo voltaics can be used in a wide range of products, from small consumer items to large commercial solar electric systems. This conference brings together the challenging technical aspects for supporting and producing renewable energy with less or no impact on the ecosystems. We solicit both academic, research, and industrial contributions. We welcome technical papers presenting research and experimental results, position papers addressing the pros and cons of specific proposals, such as those being discussed in the standard fora or in industry consortia, survey papers addressing the key problems and solutions on any of the above topics are research papers on work in progress.
